About

Who Are We?

We’re students who love building stuff with code. Simple as that.

What We’re About

SEAD Club is where you come to learn, code, and hang out with people who get excited about software. Whether you’ve been coding since middle school or just wrote your first “Hello World” last week, you belong here.

We’re not about rigid hierarchies or intimidating tech-bro culture. We’re about late-night debugging sessions, celebrating when your code finally works, and having people around who understand why that’s worth celebrating.

Build Real Things

Got a project idea that’s been bouncing around in your head? Want to contribute to open-source but don’t know where to start? Jump into one of our project teams.

You’ll work on actual projects—the kind you can show off in interviews or just be proud of. Plus, there’s something special about solving a tough problem at 2 AM with friends who are just as invested as you are.

Learn Together

Stuck on something? Ask. Seriously, just ask. Someone here has probably banged their head against the same wall and can point you in the right direction.

We’re building a space where “I don’t know” is a perfectly fine starting point, and where learning is less about suffering alone and more about figuring things out together.

Find Your People

Meet other students who actually want to talk about that new framework, debate tabs vs. spaces, or just grab coffee between classes. But it goes deeper than that.

We’re building real friendships here—the kind that last beyond graduation. Maybe you’ll find your co-founder. Maybe you’ll find friends you can call at 3 AM when you’re stuck on something (code-related or not). Maybe you’ll meet people you end up working with years down the line, or who become lifelong friends you travel with, celebrate with, or build something meaningful with.

Our community brings together people from different countries and backgrounds. You’ll practice English in real conversations (way better than any textbook), hear perspectives you’ve never considered, and learn about tech scenes from different parts of the world. There’s something special about debugging code with someone from another continent or discovering you both love the same obscure anime despite growing up thousands of miles apart.

Some of the best companies started with friends who shared a dorm room or a Discord server. Some of the best friendships started over a shared frustration with CSS or a random conversation about a side project. That’s what we’re creating space for.

Who Can Join?

Anyone passionate about software development. Freshman CS majors, design students curious about front-end, engineering students who want to automate things, economics majors interested in fintech—if you’re genuinely interested in learning and building, we want to meet you.

How to Join

  1. Click join to fill out the quick application form
  2. We’ll set up a casual chat to get to know each other

Don’t worry—there’s no whiteboard coding or gotcha questions. We just want to talk about what excites you, what you want to learn, and make sure we’re a good fit for each other. Think of it as a coffee chat where we figure out if our community vibe matches what you’re looking for.

We keep our community intentionally close-knit because that’s how friendships form and how people feel comfortable asking “dumb questions” (spoiler: they’re never dumb). We’re looking for people who’ll contribute to that atmosphere—whether you’re a beginner or already shipping code.

Let’s write code, break things, fix them, and maybe argue about whether semicolons matter. Let’s build projects we’re proud of and learn from the ones that crash spectacularly. And yeah, let’s talk about anime, debate which IDE is superior, and share memes that only programmers find funny.

This is your community. Let’s make something cool together.

Let’s go.
